At a time when our schools and personal budgets are struggling to meet basic needs, stories like this can be somewhat discouraging. It seems that the federal debt & deficit are on the backs of laboring Americans, while companies like GE are using every means necessary to get away without paying taxes like so many of the rest of us. Sad. $5.1 billion from U.S. operations alone last year. Tax bill=ZERO!?!? That is not counting everything moved and sheltered overseas.
