Pass It On Education Content: Way Out There, Man!

The closest planet to the Sun is Mercury.  For the first time ever, humans (NASA) now have a satellite in orbit around this hot planet.  It took over six years for the "Messenger" satellite to travel 4.9 BILLION miles!  "Are we there yet???"
