Most commonly it is pretty tame intimidation or fault-finding...which can be destructive enough...but other times it becomes a pattern of abuse that continues until the abused is desperate enough to hurt themselves or others. To whatever degree you view bullying as a significant issue on your campus or in your district, it is hard to deny that we could all be better informed about how to counter it. The California Department of Education has a web page to get information out about this topic. It includes a FAQ, diagnostic tools, an action plan, sample policies, and more.  Check It Out!
